"The Paella De Marisco"

Catral is a village which belongs to Alicante, where one of the most traditional food is “The Paella de Marisco”, which is essential in our community. we going to explain what are the necessary ingredients, the accurate preparation and most importantly what is the secret to enjoy of a good Catralense paella.

Ingredients:

- 300 grams of rice
- 1 liter of water
- Slices of squid
- Prawns and clams
- Tomato
- salt
- Oil
- saffron
- ñora (A type of pepper used on the Mediterranean coast)

Elaboration:

1.First of all we take the oil in the pan and let it heat for about 4 or 5 minutes.
2.Then a ñora fry for added flavor to the rice and we do for 3 minutes.
3.We chop the ñora in the morter.
4.Then clean the fish and fry about 5 minutes.
5.Once this is done we cast the tomato and after about 5 or 10 minutes we take a fish stock that will give much more flavor to the rice.
6.Ten or 15 minutes later add the rice and the prawns and simmer for approximately 20 minutes. And there you have it. The best way to enjoy this dish is to eat it in company straight from the pan.

This is how we prepare seafood paella. One of the traditional ways to eat this is in the countryside with all of the family together or especially at one of the village fiestas. It is a fast and simple recipe for a good dish.

¡¡This is the result!!
